Pre-planning of fiber network projects

This data is used to create highly detailed maps and schematics in systems such as Smallworld PNI, AND, QGIS, 3-GIS or any other GIS or CAD-based software, enabling accurate planning of network elements such as cable trenches, POPs, cabinets, and manholes.

Trunk and Access Network
The NL3 – Trunk Network extends from the Central Office to the POP or main distribution street cabinets (MFC).
One of the goals of this task is to provide the necessary civil work plans which can be presented to the authorities for digging and construction permits.
Tasks include:
- Surface consideration = how many meters of asphalt, railway crossings, watercourse crossings, tree stands, etc.
- Total route length: determine closed construction method, open construction method
- Different types of pipes according to our planning manual/network concept
- Determine locations of MFC (multifunctional cabinet)
The NL3 – Access Network extends from the main distribution street cabinets to the BEP.
The goal of this task is to provide the necessary civil work plans which can be presented to the authorities for digging and construction permits.
Preliminary planning includes:
- Total route length: determine closed construction method, open construction method
- surface consideration = how many meters of asphalt, railway crossings, watercourse crossings, tree stands, etc.
- Insert different types of pipes/ according to the planning manual/network concept
- Determine locations of network distribution cabinets
- Determine blow-in length from street cabinet to residential building
- Determine route length per residential unit, e.g. from the residential building wall to the pipe connection at the property boundary
